Edmonton’s Grieving Parents Society

We are a peer support group that meets to provide a safe, meaningful time with other parents who have also experienced the death of a child at any age and for any reason. Parents can share their grief experience in silence or in words with a goal of finding a new life, worthy of living in joy with the presence of our child’s life and memory securely part of that future.

The Grieving Parents Society meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Building, located at 16214 – 118 Ave. Please use the NW entrance and take the stairs to the second-floor boardroom.

Join us for coffee!

Join us on the first Wednesday of each month for a casual coffee gathering and friendship. For convenience we alternate between  two Tim Horton's locations:
- North side at 13015 118 Ave. NW [open in map]
- South side 8555 Argyll Road NW [open in map]

2025 Candle Light Service

Edmonton’s Grieving Parents Society welcomes you to an annual candle light service to honour and remember children lost at any age and for any reason. Invite family and friends to join us as we light a candle in their memory at the Evergreen Community Centre at 2 pm on Sunday, December 7^th, 31 Evergreen Park NW. Please bring a photo of your child with their name to place on the memory table. After the short program, light refreshments will be provided. Gifts of baking or snacks are appreciated. Parking is available in front and behind the community centre.
