Edmonton’s Grieving Parents Society

We are a peer support group that meets monthly to provide a safe, meaningful time with other parents who have also experienced the death of a child at any age and for any reason. Parents can share their grief experience in silence or in words with a goal of finding a new life, worthy of living in joy with the presence of our child’s life and memory securely part of that future.

The Grieving Parents Society meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Building, located at 16214 – 118 Ave. Please use the NW entrance and take the stairs to the second-floor boardroom @ 7:30 pm

We are hosting our annual candlelight service.This service is to honour and remember all our children that are no longer physically with us but here in spirit regardless of age or reason. Please join us and bring along a picture of your child as well as your family/friends.Candles will be provided.Following the service, we will share refreshments, if you are able to bring a snack for sharing, please do.

We have decided to temporarily pause our monthly Coffee Nights until March while we review interest, format and timing.Our monthly meetings will continue as usual on the third Thursday of every month.
